Online Learning Pods

Are you concerned about how to work and manage your child being home alone AND having a full day of school?

Online Learning Pods from HEIRS autism may be just the solution to your needs!

​

Online Learning Pods are ideal for students in grades 3 - 12.  Students are supervised remotely in the safety of their own homes.  An adult "Teacher Supervisor" will make sure your child logs into the Online Learning Pods Zoom Room in the morning.  Our Teacher Supervisors will make sure that students check their to-do lists daily, meet with teachers and classes on time, take breaks, stay on task for school work, and have learning support when needed.  Socialization and human interaction are important parts of the education process and addressed during lunchtime, breaks, and "after school" activities.​​

What will students need?

  • The device required by Their Local School District for completing Remote/Online Learning.

  • The school supplies required by Their Local School District for completing Remote/Online Learning.

  • A fully functioning phone for incoming and outgoing phone calls.

  • A no cook/packed lunch ages 9-15.  16+ can microwave (if U say OK)

FAQ:

Will you teach my child in place of their local school district assigned teacher?

  • No.  We will not take the place of your local school district professionals.

  • Yes.  We will help your child review the directions for a given assignment, correct and clarify errors in reading or thinking.

  • Yes, we will help your child reach-out/email their local school district assigned teacher for help and clarification.

  • Yes, we will alert you to issues that need your personalized attention.

What if something unexpected happens in my home?

  • We will alert you to anything unexpected that happens in your home.

    • For instance, ​the dog throws up on the rug, we will call you as well walk your child thru the process of staying calm and possibly starting the cleanup.

    • Emergency instances - If your child starts to choke on food, we will call 911 FIRST.  If a fire starts in your house, we will call 911 FIRST as we instruct your child to leave the house.  Then we will call you!

Am I required to commit to 5 days a week? For the Whole School Year?

  • No.  You can sign up for 1, 2, or 5 days a week.

  • You can try our Online Learning Pods for a day, week, or month.

  • Payment is required in advance and spots are limited based upon the # of students and available Teacher Supervisors.

I've heard scary stories about weirdoes in Zoom Room Meetings!

  • Meetings will be secure and students will have to be admitted from the Waiting Room.

​

How much does this cost?

  • $20 per student per day.

  • $15 for a half-day.

  • $40 for an extended day including before and/or after school.

  • Families with Multiple Students will receive 25% discount on each additional student.

What are the school day hours?

  • The Supervised School Day is from 9 am to 3 pm.

  • Lunch/Recess from 12-1 grades 3-5.

  • Lunch from 12-12:30 grades 6-12.
